U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, Office of Apprenticeship – Apprenticeship Action Clinics
On September 28 – 30, State teams from Region 1 and 2 met in Boston, Massachusetts to initiate the development of action plans to better integrate Registered Apprenticeship (RA) with partner organizations and “leverage it as a key talent, reemployment, and job development strategy in their public workforce and education systems.” State teams included representatives from state and local workforce agencies, the secondary and post-secondary education systems, economic development, organized labor, business, the RA system, and other stakeholder organizations. Coffey supported the planning of the Action Clinic, facilitated, and provided staff to work with the state teams in developing their action plans. An Action Clinic is planned for Regions 2 and 3 in the spring of 2011 in Atlanta.
